James has a BA Hons in media but put that on hold to play drums around the world for 6 years. He has toured many countries and was inspired by the cultures, sounds and styles along the way. Much of this found its way into the music of “The Fancy Toys” which he started with Mickaël in 2008.

He has written and produced 2 short movies: “Dawnbreakers” and “The Devil for Tea” and worked with Mickaël on various music videos for The Fancy Toys.

He produced a 2 hour Live Music DVD for the band “Jethro Tull” in 2014 and has provided the backdrop visuals on 5 worldwide tours in 2012, 2014 and 2015, 2017 and 2018. James formed a music booking and promoting agency in 2007 representing 12 bands on shows across the world. He lives and works in London.
